Kevin Schofield - 1975 - Medical Centre

I was stationed in Masirah from April 1975 to late December of that year. Was a Medic (SEN) working in the Medical Centre.Had a fantastic time and a fantastic experience. I ran the saddle club there. A couple of years previous, a couple of the guys had been riding out and came across a dead donkey that had been run over and killed with a foal desperately nudging her and trying to get her to move. The guys took the foal back to the saddle and all members agreed to bottle feed this foal on a rota basis and saved its life. It became a constant companion to the two horses of the saddle club. He became quite a bold caricature and often helped rake the paddocks. Here's a few picks;-

Vic Osborne - In Masirah 93-99 and around 1996 the WSC (Water Sports Club) divers freed and lifted the anchor from SS Eletric and it still stands at the WSC entrance to this day.

Peter Molineux - General views whilst on detachment with 57 Squadron.
